An introductory course in the creation of web sites.  The course is taught in the Windows environment.  Basic HTML commands are covered. All standard HTML tags are taught including hrefs, lists, tables, Cascading Style Sheets and forms.  In addition photo and picture creation and editing is taught. An emphasis is placed on understanding HTML code. Students create two projects: one is a static web site incorporating all the knowledge they acquire in the first half of the course, the other is a dynamic web site which uses one of the scripting methods covered in the course. In the second project the student is expected to learn on their own in greater depth and to demonstrate the scripting method of their choosing.

In this course students will learn to use the computer and the software application, Adobe Photoshop, to create unique digital images. Students will explore both the technical aspects of image manipulation, as well as the artistic aspects of creating images. They will become familiar with Photoshop through watching demonstrations, and completing structured assignments as well as open ended assignments and projects. Adobe Photoshop is a professional image editing, graphics application. It is considered to be an industry standard for digital photography, graphic design, printing, web design, video and film, special effects, 3D computer graphics, photo retouching, and more.
