English

The English department is committed to the belief that all students are able to learn at a high level, and that core skills are necessary for post-secondary education, as well as for the world of work.

Students have the option of taking courses in English 9, 10, 11 and 12. One of the classes all students will take is the GP Legacy class- an introduction to GPHS and to Gordon Parks, the man.  Teachers embed arts and media into courses to make them high-interest and to follow in the footsteps of Gordon Parks. English classes are aligned to graduation requirements.
